We are seeking experienced (Industrial Painting) Estimators with a strong background in structural steel within the industrial construction sector. These roles will support preconstruction efforts by preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and collaborating closely with operations and leadership to ensure successful project execution.
We are hiring three (3) Estimators total, one aligned to each location (Fort Lauderdale, Holtsville, and Philadelphia).
Key Responsibilities
- -Prepare detailed cost estimates for structural steel and industrial painting projects.
- -Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
- -Identify and assess project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
- -Create a detailed scope of work and perform quantity takeoff.
- -Develop the cost estimate based on man-hours, cost of labor, materials, and equipment.
- -Prepare and orchestrate bid proposals and supporting documentation.
- -Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids.
- -Collaborate with project management, operations, and clients during the bidding process.
- -Responsible for full bid submission and post-bid activity.
- -Participate in project handoff meetings to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to operations.
- -Perform contract review with Executive Leadership.
- -Review drawing updates and change orders.
- -Maintain and update cost databases and historical pricing information.
Qualifications
- -3-5 years of estimating experience, specifically in industrial painting
- -Knowledge and understanding of Industrial Painting
- -Strong understanding of steel fabrication, erection processes, and industry standards
- -Proficiency in estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen, or similar)
- -Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- -Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- -Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- -Familiarity with local construction markets (Florida, New York, and Pennsylvania) and Union Regulations/Pay Scales
- -Experience with large-scale industrial or heavy civil projects
