Johnson Service Group Inc. has an immediate opening for a “Director of Contracts” This is an excellent direct hire opportunity in the Thousand Oaks, Ca area. This position offers an excellent base salary, incentives, relocation assistance and full benefits package.

Job Overview
The Director, Corporate Contracts, reports to the Corporate Vice President, Contracts. The individual is responsible for oversight of the contracts management function at assigned Consolidated Business Units (CBUs) and their constituent Business Units. This includes (a) providing expert guidance and direction for all aspects of contract management, (b) participating in major proposal, agreement, and terms and conditions reviews, (c) leading key negotiations with customers, and (d) drafting complex agreements and contracts as required. The individual is responsible for ensuring that the contract management and administration activities at the CBUs and Business Units are performed in a professional, efficient, and effective manner following good business practices and in strict compliance with all applicable Corporate and company policies, procedures, and processes, applicable laws and regulations, and contract requirements. The individual will oversee several indirect subordinates and is also responsible for the training and development of contracts personnel within the Corporation. The individual will also provide support for the Procurement function as required. The individual will also support and assist the Corporate Vice President of Contracts in identifying and executing various initiatives and projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the Vice President, Contracts, as assigned.
• Develop and implement programs, policies, and processes with the goal of promoting and ensuring compliance with all government and commercial contracting requirements, regulations, Corporate polices, and customer contract requirements.
• Provide Corporate-wide training on contracts and compliance topics.
• Provide leadership and oversight of assigned CBUs and business units.
• Provide technical support and guidance to assigned CBUs and business units for all contracts functions and matters.
• Conduct audits of CBUs and business units to verify compliance.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a broad range of contracts and agreements, including
• Nondisclosure Agreements
• Sales Representative Agreements
• Distributor Agreements
• Consultant Agreements
• Licensing Agreements
• Master Supply Agreements
• Domestic and International Sales Contracts
• Federal, State and Local Municipality Contracts
• Complete comprehensive reviews of major customer contracts and terms and conditions to identify, mitigate, and/or eliminate unusual risks, liabilities, and remedies in accordance with Corporate polices and sound business judgment.
• Provide interpretation of contract terms and conditions to management and other functional disciplines within assigned CBUs and business units.
• Assist assigned CBUs and business units in resolving complex customer and contract problems and issues
• Support due diligence and post-acquisition integration activities for acquired companies.

Required Qualifications and Background
• (10) years of directly relevant experience in a contracts director, management and/or legal position.
• Significant experience and expertise in government, commercial, and international contracting.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Government contracting regulations (FAR, DFARS, etc.) is desired but not essential.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills (written, oral, and presentation).
• Experience in training and mentoring.
• Commercial Sales experience
• Ability to manage a high volume of work at a detailed level.
• Entrepreneurial focus and ability to thrive and excel in a dynamic and technically focused environment.
• Demonstrated business acumen with experience in developing innovative solutions and a successful record of problem-solving.
• Ability to interact effectively with Corporate and company management, functional counterparts, and contracts staff in a professional manner.
• Absolute commitment to performing job in compliance with the highest ethical standards.
