Project Manager / Program Manager to assist in Germantown, Maryland.

Direct hire location is Germantown Maryland.

This critical position requires a true leader and team builder with experience in managing a very large group of highly specialized technical experts. Work is performed primarily at the Department of Energy (DOE) facility in Germantown, Maryland.

Security Clearance:
Candidate MUST be a United States citizen, and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Experience & Skills:

This position requires a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in Project Management, managing projects of comparable size and complexity (This experience may be a combination of private sector, civil service, and/or military experience)
It is highly desirable that the individual have direct management experience within/with the DOE
It is highly desirable for the individual to have direct and current experience with derivative classification and/or declassification
It is highly desirable for the individual to have direct and current experience with the nuclear weapons programs at DOE and/or DoD
The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills
The candidate must have strong knowledge and command of conflict resolution techniques
The candidate must have the ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines
The candidate must be able to perform complex data analysis and apply the analysis to make process improvements
It is highly desirable for the individual to have direct and current experience with the nuclear weapons programs at DOE and/or DoD
A strong technical background is desirable
The candidate must have experience working with classified and sensitive documents
Knowledge of the nuclear fuel enrichment process is desirable
Task Area Manager Duties:

Runs the overall contractual effort to ensure responsiveness to the Office of Classification’s requirements as outlined in the Performance Work Statement
Interfaces between the Office of Classification management and clients corporate staff
Directs contractor workflow in all task areas through the Task Area Mangers (TAMs)
Responsible for planning and directing process improvements for the DOE classification process
Ensures overall responsiveness of contractor staff to all Office of Classification requirements, job requests, and guidance provided by the Project Manager and the Contracting Officer's Representative and/or designated representative
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines, physical sciences, or in public or business administration is highly desirable.
