Job Summary

The successful candidate will work at Submarine Technical Support Center in Groton, CT with a team of highly dedicated and experienced personnel in maintaining the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Force Warfighting Capability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) systems. - Provide onboard technical assistance to inspect, evaluate, troubleshoot, test, provide corrective actions, and/or technical oversight and guidance to resolve HM&E related equipment deficiencies. - Overtime may be required on limited occasions. - Continental and foreign travel may be required on limited occasion, but is not anticipated.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a U.S Citizen
Must have an active security clearance at the Secret Level and be able to maintain that security clearance.
Vocational/technical training beyond high school
Specialized Experience: Six (6) years of full-time engineering experience onboard submarines in the operation, maintenance, installation, test, or repair of combat systems and/or weapons handling equipment. Experience in evaluating the material condition of ship systems and implementing corrective action.
General Experience: Eight (8) years of full-time technical experience in the mechanical/electrical/electronic systems/equipment.
Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience onboard LOS ANGELES Class and VIRGINIA Class submarines.
Engine Room Supervisor Qualified.
Experienced in operation and/or repair of Submarine Main Propulsion systems.
Experienced in all aspects of Air Conditioning operation and/or repair.
Experienced in operation and/or repair of HPAC/HPAD/LPAC/LPAD systems.
Experienced in Reverse Osmosis/ Distillation plant operation and/or repair.
