Immediate opening for a HVAC Technician in Suffolk, VA. The Technician will report daily to the Supervisor and support him to provide quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. Primary responsibilities will be responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all hot and cold calls while utilizing Automated Building Controls and performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable to perform minor plumbing, electrical and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must have at least 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in facilities/HVAC maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills and the ability to be on-call periodically during non-business hours.
10% Communicates effectively with Site Manager to determine service needs. Coordinates and supervise client sub-contractors while performing service on site.
15% HVAC maintenance and repair skills. PM, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required.
20% Building automation monitoring and adjustments.
10% Respond to Hot & Cold area temperature complaints and make adjustments and repairs.
20%Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request.
5% Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested.
20% Assist the Team in maintaining, operating and troubleshooting the HVAC heating, ventilating, air conditioning, heat exchangers, chillers, air handling units, and general maintenance issues such as plumbing and other general maintenance problems.

3 5 years of experience related to HVAC facility maintenance.
Valid US drivers license
Must have a Secret Security Clearance
EPA approved CFC certification is required, Journeymen license preferred
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Ability to perform various general type maintenance tasks. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence utilizing basic computer skills and ability to communicate via email and internet use.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Knowledge of air cooled chiller operations and various HVAC equipment.
Must have BAS (Building Automation System) experience and working knowledge of energy management systems
Knowledge of raised floor AC systems and perform Preventive Maintenance on HVAC controls and operating systems as scheduled in the Facilities Center System, including required calibrations.
Organization skills to maintain the client facility maintenance records and reports.
Time management skills to coordinate and supervise the client sub-contractors while on site and manage to complete the daily routine tasks assigned.
