Johnson Service Group is actively seeking an ELECTRICAL DESIGNER I to work in the Marietta, GA area. This is an excellent opportunity for a forward-thinking company, in Marietta.

• As a member of the Electrical & Instrumentation Department, the Electrical Designer is responsible for interpreting job related documentation such as Internal Datasheets, P&ID, etc. Then translate those requirements into an electrical drawing package for the lead Electrical Engineer to review.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
• The Electrical Designer reports directly to the Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering Manager. The Electrical Designer will have an ongoing list of tasks related to sales support, standard development and project work. The E&I Engineering Manager will determine the order in which tasks are to be completed. The Electrical Designer is delegated sufficient authority to accomplish the goals and objectives that are under his/her control. No other job position currently reports to the Electrical Designer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Seeking individuals with 1+ years in the electrical field or entry-level with Electrical Engineering degree.
• Read and understand electrical schematics, BOMs and P&IDs. Proficient use of a computer and the use of AutoCAD Electrical as well as other basic office software. The applicant should have the ability to work on multiple projects at once.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to operate a keyboard and mouse. The employee is occasionally required to visit the fabrication shop. Specific vision capabilities include determining color of wiring and being able to read tiny prints.
• Must have the ability to make educated decisions based on his or her knowledge & experience.
• Must be able to communicate clearly all ideas and concepts in understandable English.
• High School Diploma-Minimum

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Review project and related sales documentation such as customer specifications, Internal Datasheets, etc.
• Create an electrical package according to the project details and requirements.
• Update existing electrical packages such as ladder diagrams, loop diagrams, AC & DC distribution panels, schematic & wiring diagrams as well as panel layouts and BOMs.
• Develop and maintain electrical standard drawings for our client’s product lines.
• Check drawing packages from other Electrical Designers, Electrical and Process Engineers.
• Attends project meetings as required
• This is a full-time position with typical work days/hours being Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with an hour lunch break.
• Accuracy and consistency of electrical calculations, and document deliverables
• Accuracy and consistency of meeting budgeted hours for assigned project work.
