Mill Operator (JP-002016730)

PAY/BENEFITS: $19.55/hour. A competitive benefit package including vacation time and health insurance is available with employer.

SCHEDULE: (12/hr Shift *3 day weekend off, every other weekend)

Day Shift Hours 7am - 7pm

- Wk (1) 36hrs - SUN, W, TH

- Wk (2) 48hrs - M, T, F, SA

Night Shift Hours 7pm - 7am

- Wk (1) 36hrs - SU, W, TH

- Wk (2) 48hrs - M, T, F, SA


Responsible for the milling process in the production area. Responsible to understand own role in the Food Safety Management System by awareness of the importance and relevancy of their activities and to report food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

-Works safely to prevent on -the-job injuries by adhering to safety policies and procedures, such as wearing appropriate PPE and following GMP's.

-Must be able to operate all mill equipment, regulate speed, heat, coolant flow by operating control panel for the control operation of the mill equipment.

-Change our bad screens by detecting defective sifter, opening sifter and replacing screen.

-Prepare for product changeovers by reviewing orders, cleaning machine and gathering necessary supplies.

-Clean corn by operating corn cleaning system.

-Performs stops and starts in the production process as needed.

-Prepare and or verify all reports used in the area, records production information by using SAP software.

-Must know the specifications of the product being run.

-Communicates with maceration operator to help control process by proposing requirements and adjustments.

-Participates in all jobs assigned by his/her supervisor.

-Control quality of products by using information provided by Quality Assurance personnel.

-Monitors and controls flour inventories by taking silo measurements and directing production to proper silo according to production schedule.

-Participates in cleaning of equipment (internally and externally) by following cleaning master programs and procedures.

-Adheres to food safety guidelines by following AIB standards.

-Reports machine malfunctions by communicating with supervisor and or Maintenance personnel.

-Performs job effectively by using computers and understanding software system.


-6 to 12 months previous experience in a similar position

-3 years manufacturing experience

-Math skills, decimals, ratios, graphs and percentages

-Basic mechanical principals

-Basic computer skills
