Who We’re Looking for:
IMI is looking for someone who’s self-motivated and result-oriented for upcoming contracts as an Electrical Installer.
Our ideal Electrical Installer should have a high degree of safety awareness and is a good communicator with their peers. He or she should be able to work at heights of up to 30 feet and would also be working up to 60 hours a week.
**MUST have a R7/R8 license from the state of Connecticut**
To be considered for this position, IMI is looking for those who can provide proof of a high school diploma or GED & certifications. We are also looking for someone who has one-year of experience in operating forklifts and scissor lifts as well as someone who has a minimum of one year of electrical experience including hydraulic pipe bending.
Must have 4 years of commercial/industrial experience.
If you believe you fit these criteria, you could be responsible for the following:
Must be a skilled electrician, with the ability to run conduit, pull wire, terminate and, basic trouble shooting abilities.
Inspects, repairs, installs, modifies, and maintains electrical/electronic systems, circuits and equipment. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. Special Considerations: Lifting will exceed 30 Lbs. and/or repetitions of this or lesser weights will be significant. Exposure to substantial machine, chemical, biological or other physical risks are anticipated.
Due to the many responsibilities we are tasking our employees with, we ask they have the following tools:

- #2 Phillips screwdriver
- Standard screwdriver

- Diagonal cutters
- PPE (hard hat , glasses, hard toe boots, etc)
- Hack saw
- EMT conduit reamer
- Tape measure
- Magnetic torpedo level (non plastic)
- Standard wrenches 1/4 - 9/16
- Standard nut drivers 1/4 -9/16
- Allen wrenches
- Flash light
- Tool bag
- Marking pencils
- Pocket knife
