Description

Herr Industrial, Inc., an Industrial paint finishing, air pollution control, material handling, and control systems fabrication and installation company, is seeking a highly motivated and mechanical minded candidate to join our team in a supervisory capacity.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Supervise the on-site work activities of one or more crew members.


Provide training to field crew as needed.


Provide work direction as needed.


Schedule equipment and materials.


Drive a Company truck equipped with necessary tools to job sites.


Interface with the customer on-site to provide status updates of project activity.


Keep the Field Services Manager and Job Superintendent informed of all progress.


Read schematics and blueprints.


Ensure all equipment and tools are in safe working condition.


Provide safety training and supervision to ensure employee and product safety on all job sites, equipment and vehicles.


Work on special assignment projects as needed.

Other miscellaneous tasks are assigned as needed.




Skills Required:


Minimum journeyman skills in one or more mechanical fields, i.e., welding, rigging, millwrighting, or pipefitting.


Minimum five years related experience.


Minimum three years supervisory background.


Must be capable of working independently.


Excellent problem-solving skills.

Must be detail-oriented.


Solves problems independently.


Provides guidance to direct reports on the job.


Works with no supervision.


Special Factors:


Frequent overtime to include weekends.

Must have own hand tools.


Extensive national travel to job site locations.


Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.


Work 3 weeks or more onsite, 1 week off

Industrial Mechanic

Scheduling

Supervisory

Conveyors

Millwright

3-5 Years or more of related experience

High School Diploma

Certification or Advance Education (Preferred)
