PPS is seeking an Extrusion Manager for our state-of-the-art Phoenix, Arizona facility. This position comes with a highly competitive pay rate, second-to-none benefits, and a high ceiling for growth in a NEW extrusion facility!

The Extrusion Manager will be charged with oversight of the extrusion department for all shifts, and report directly to the Plant Manager. In addition, the Extrusion Manager’s role will involve extensive liaison with all areas of the company.

Responsibilities to include:

Coordinate production teams to effectively utilize the people, equipment, and materials required to meet production schedules efficiently and effectively
Anticipate potential barriers and take corrective action to circumvent
Make operational decisions that adhere to budget requirements and sales goals
Ensure quality and timeliness of work meets customer specs by communicating with other departments
Foster an environment of teamwork and learning through continuous improvement initiatives and technology integration
Strictly adhere to safety, OSHA, and environmental guidelines
Manage resources and schedules in the Extrusion Department and Die shop
Coordinate with Finishing Departments (Paint and Anodizing), Fabrication and Shipping Departments.
Work to ensure the department meets or exceeds safety, production, cost, and quality objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess:

At least 6 years of manufacturing experience with a minimum of 3 years of production management responsibility.
Experience in operations in an aluminum extrusion or continuous process manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in high-paced, customer-focused extrusion operations.
Extrusion die-shop management experience.
Post-secondary education in management, engineering, or manufacturing would be beneficial.
Education and training in Safety and Quality.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
