Job Description

This position is responsible for operating the toting stations, filling super sacks with oatmeal and other grain ingredients to send to customers. You will be responsible for entering products into inventory using our warehouse information system, labeling products for tracking, and transporting them to temporary storage. Additional tasks include organizing supplies, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean work area. Forklift and drive-through rack experience is preferred, as you will periodically be loading bulk trailers and assisting mill operators.

Responsibilities
* Operate toting stations and fill super sacks with oatmeal and grain ingredients.
* Use a forklift to remove filled super sacks from the tote station.
* Enter products into inventory using the warehouse information system and print labels for tracking.
* Label, tie shut, and stretch wrap super sacks for warehouse storage.
* Organize supplies and perform quality checks.
* Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
* Load bulk trailers of oatmeal and oat flour as needed.
* Assist mill operators when necessary.
* Communicate effectively and work collaboratively as a team member.
* Follow all safety policies and good manufacturing practices.

Essential Skills
* Experience in production and machine operation.
* Proficient in forklift operation.
* Basic math and computer skills.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively with diverse personalities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in packaging, inspection, and material handling.
* Familiarity with general labor and cleanroom procedures.

Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to various small grains and grain dust. Depending on the position, work is performed outdoors for most of the day, with some indoor tasks. The role may require working above ground level and at heights. The schedule consists of shifts from 7am-7:30pm or 6am-6:30pm, and 7pm-7:30am or 6pm-6:30am, with 4 days on and 4 days off.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Ansgar, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
