Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Delta, Utah.
Overview
The Electrical Project Engineer supports electrical engineering and project execution for a materials manufacturing operation, partnering closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality teams to design, implement, and improve electrical systems.
Responsibilities
Support and lead electrical aspects of manufacturing and capital projects from concept through installation and startup
Design, specify, and troubleshoot electrical systems for production equipment, tooling, and facility infrastructure
Provide hands-on support and oversight for electrical systems, PLCs, motors, sensors, and industrial controls
Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and automation teams to improve equipment performance and uptime
Develop, review and approve electrical documentation including schematics, specifications, and project scopes
Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and contractors during equipment installation and modifications
Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, OSHA, and internal safety standards
Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, throughput, and cost
Qualifications
Bachelor�s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
8-10+ years of electrical engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Requirements
Working knowledge of industrial power distribution and control systems in a manufacturing environment
Experience supporting manufacturing equipment and production lines
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced plant environment
Strong troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills
Preferred Requirements
Experience with PLC platforms is a plus
Exposure to materials manufacturing (machining, assembly, stamping, molding, etc.)
Experience supporting capital equipment installations and upgrades
Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
