Job Description

Join our maintenance team in Washington, DC, as a Maintenance Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining the upkeep of the Union Station garage. You will work on the 1st shift from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, ensuring the facility is functional and well-maintained.

Responsibilities
* Change lightbulbs and perform electrical repairs, focusing on ballasts.
* Paint bathrooms, offices, parking lines, walls, and other areas as needed.
* Replace doorknobs and locks, and hang items.
* Clean up spills, with a focus on oil spills.
* Complete daily work order lists and update supervisors on task status.
* Conduct general maintenance checks on equipment, including tire pressure and battery charging.
* Provide excellent customer service to all customers.
* Perform plumbing tasks, such as unclogging toilets.
* Walk the facility to identify maintenance needs and collaborate with quality assurance to improve the facility.
* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Essential Skills
* Punctuality and reliability.
* Weekend availability, potentially working Friday through Sunday.
* Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to change ballasts and use hand tools.
* Experience in electrical, plumbing, and parking garage maintenance.
* Knowledge of HVAC and preventive maintenance.
* 4+ years of maintenance experience.
* 1+ years of experience working in different weather conditions.
* Ability to multitask and manage work orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience working with work order tickets.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
