We are seeking skilled Maintenance Mechanics to join our team on a third shift schedule, working 12-hour shifts. The role involves maintaining and repairing production lines as well as ensuring the overall upkeep of the facility.
Responsibilities
* Complete daily jobs and work orders efficiently.
* Collaborate with maintenance staff on work practices and procedures.
* Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, and troubleshoot, maintain, and install mechanical and electrical systems.
* Prepare for and acquire necessary parts for tasks.
* Communicate with departments, vendors, subcontractors, and management about any issues affecting production efficiency.
* Document all repairs and complete necessary paperwork.
* Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Essential Skills
* Experience in machine maintenance, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting.
* Proficiency in repair, electrical, mechanical, and facility maintenance.
* Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, and blueprint reading.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience is required, although less experience may be considered if you have direct experience in a food or beverage maintenance environment.
* Experience with specific equipment is a plus.

Work Environment

The position operates on a 6pm-6am schedule (3rd shift) in a milk plant, which is a food manufacturing environment with high food quality regulations. The facility is highly sanitary, requiring hairnets and gowns for all production staff. The mechanics work on two shifts at night covering the week: Shift A works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, while Shift B works every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday, with a 3-day work week followed by a 4-day work week.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $71000.00/yr.
