Building Engineer III (JP-005860018)

The role is responsible for ensuring that all work adheres to established procedures for quality and productivity, is completed within budget, and meets required safety codes and policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and approving work orders, evaluating subcontractors, creating preventative maintenance plans, and conducting quality assurance inspections for all building systems.
Responsibilities
* Supervise Building Technicians, including recruiting, hiring, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
* Develop, evaluate, and train assigned staff to ensure high skill levels and technical competence.
* Perform duties of a Building Technician IV as needed.
* Provide operating and capital expenditure recommendations to the management team.
* Create and manage on-call and shift schedules for assigned technicians.
* Supervise and enforce safety protocols for all staff and vendors, ensuring high standards of safety compliance.
* Lead emergency response activities.
* Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders for project updates and reporting.
* Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills
* Extensive knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical troubleshooting.
* Proficiency in building automation systems, such as BMS/BAS, SACDA, fire alarm, and VESDA.
* In-depth knowledge of automation systems reporting, programming, and alarm management.
* Ability to read and understand building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing drawings.
* Complete knowledge of written maintenance, emergency, and standard operating procedures.
* Ability to solve problems and provide solutions in varying situations.
* Monitors and implements OSHA requirements for technical staff/vendors.
* Possess a valid drivers license and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Ability to perform 24-hour on-call duties, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Experience in design and construction of new facilities and fit-outs.
* Experience in supervising safety protocols with EHS staff.
* Ability to brief and explain technical issues to a varied audience.
* May be required to carry and maintain appropriate government credentials.

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
