A manufacturer in the Indianapolis area is seeking multiple Operators to join their team on both the 1st and 3rd shifts. The selected candidates will be responsible for operating various fabrication machinery.
Responsibilities
* Perform sandblasting and grinding of parts to prepare for machine operating processes.
* Manually handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
* Utilize tools such as hammers, pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and grinders.
* Accurately use a tape measure for measurements.
* Convert fractions and decimals as needed.
Essential Skills
* General production experience.
* Proficiency in sandblasting and grinding.
* Ability to operate machinery such as laser, punch press, and press brake.
* Familiarity with blueprint reading.
* Experience with machining and machine operating.
* Skill in using calipers and other measurement tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Blueprint reading.
* Experience with CNC machines.
* Machine Operator experience.

Work Environment
This is a heavy steel manufacturing environment, known for its excellence in steel and metal product fabrication. The facility can get hot during the summer months. Operators will work on the 1st shift from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday through Friday) or the 3rd shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM (Sunday through Thursday) with a $1.50/hr shift differential. Training for up to four weeks occurs on the 1st shift. The schedule includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch and one paid 10-minute break.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.50/hr.
