Job Description
Join our team as a Maintenance Technician where you will play a crucial role in supporting new product initiatives by managing equipment and tooling requirements. You will leverage your advanced understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems to ensure smooth plant operations. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing machinery, conveyors, and other miscellaneous equipment. You will be responsible for setting up filling and assembly equipment, maintaining material usage standards, and keeping scrap levels within allowable limits.
Responsibilities
* Initiate line and equipment tooling requirements for new products.
* Install, check, adjust, and repair machinery and conveyors as needed.
* Develop skills to meet required changeover standards as determined by OEE studies.
* Complete set-up of all filling and assembly equipment.
* Maintain material usage standards to keep scrap levels within allowable limits.
* Change and adjust process equipment including filling heads, capper torque check weighers, labelers, pumps, and additional ancillary equipment.
* Load components into hoppers or bins during initial startup and assist line service if required.
* Respond to job assignments plant-wide.
* Inspect and make repairs as needed to maintain preventive maintenance programs.
* Maintain required records such as major maintenance, PM, IQOQPQ.
* Operate all shop equipment except the CNC.
* Make adjustments and repairs in electrical panels as defined in electrical Safe Practices for Mechanics.
* Comply with company policy regarding GMP, good housekeeping, and all safety regulations.
Essential Skills
* Advanced understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Experience in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment.
* Ability to read and work from detailed blueprints and schematics.
* Good working knowledge of plant equipment and systems.
* Basic applicable computer skills.
* Ability to train other tech levels and employees.
* Proficient in operating power shop tools and common hand tools safely.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED required.
* 3 - 5 years of experience required.
* General electrical experience preferred, more than wiring but less than PLC troubleshooting.
* Experience with packaging equipment is a bonus.
* Ability to read ladder logic and troubleshoot PLCs.
* Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and manipulate bulk drums weighing up to 400 pounds.
* Ability to push and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Capability to stand and/or walk 90% of an 8-hr day, including climbing ladders or steps.

Openings across three shifts: 1st Shift (6:45 AM - 3:30 PM), 2nd Shift (2:45 PM - 11:15 PM), and 3rd Shift (10:45 PM - 7:15 AM).

This is a Permanent position based out of Oxford, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $74880.00/yr.
match up to 6% on the 401K, have $250 that goes toward their tool box yearly, 2 weeks vacation, launder uniforms for both temps and perm employees.

This is a fully onsite position in Oxford,NC.
