Talascend is currently seeking a Mobile Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Washington Township, Ohio.

Overview

The main function of a mobile engineer is to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility equipment across multiple sites. Candidates should demonstrate technical expertise in one craft area and be multi-skilled in others.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, monitoring repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
Travel between multiple facilities, ensuring their proper function.
Maintain responsibility for facility services, preventative maintenance, purchasing, inventory control, contracted maintenance, general maintenance, and technical proficiency.
Maintain equipment by cleaning, inspecting, calibrating, and changing parts to optimize performance.
Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
Comply with policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Perform periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
Monitor the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
Adhere to safety procedures, maintain good housekeeping, and identify and propose solutions to safety hazards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial building systems.
Ability to analyze the operation of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems and take corrective action.
EPA 608 Type II certification.
Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

EPA 608 Universal Certification.
Two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
