As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated systems used in motor coil production and electric motor assembly. Youll work handson with advanced industrial equipment and collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering,

and production teams to keep critical automated processes running at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment, including PLCcontrolled machinery and custom coilwinding systems
* Respond to equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
* Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automation, electrical, and control systems
* Read, analyze, and update electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
* Make minor modifications or adjustments to PLC programs (primarily troubleshootinglevel changes; AllenBradley/Rockwell focus)
* Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase equipment reliability, throughput, and safety
* Assist with installation, upgrades, integration, and commissioning of new or rebuilt equipment
* Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and maintenance personnel to address daily operational needs
* Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety standards

Essential Skills
* Diploma or Certificate in Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or related discipline
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment
* Strong handson experience with PLCs (AllenBradley/Rockwell preferred)
* Working knowledge of HMIs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and industrial control hardware
* Ability to interpret electrical schematics, ladder diagrams, and technical manuals
* Proven troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
* Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Experience
* Background in motor manufacturing, coil winding, or electromechanical assembly
* Familiarity with servo motion systems, robotics, or vision systems
* Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
* Exposure to equipment commissioning, integration, or automation upgrades
