Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Diesel or Fleet Maintenance Mechanic or Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in maintaining and repairing diesel trucks, focusing on electrical systems and brake mechanisms.

Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance and repair on diesel engines and fleet trucks.
* Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
* Conduct brake maintenance and repair.
* Work on hydraulic systems and trailer maintenance.
* Utilize welding skills for various repairs.
* Ensure fleet maintenance is up to standards with air brakes, pneumatic systems, and other essential components.

Essential Skills
* ASE Certification
* At least 5 years of experience in diesel troubleshooting and repair
* Experience with electrical systems and brake maintenance
* Skill in hydraulic systems and trailer maintenance

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* CDL certification
* Proficiency in welding
* Experience in air brake systems

Work Environment

Work primarily indoors in a shop environment with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm. Expect to work up to 45-55 hours per week. Uniforms and safety equipment are provided to ensure a safe and professional workspace.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livingston, LA.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.25 - $36.25/hr.
