Talascend is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Overview

The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing various repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks within a commercial or manufacturing environment, ensuring building systems operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance within licensing requirements
Maintain work order system daily and complete tenant service requests
Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
Support on-call and emergency response situations as needed
Troubleshoot electrical, DDC, pneumatic controls, and other building systems
Follow all safety procedures and participate in ongoing training
Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

3+ years of related work experience in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
Trade school education, union training, military service, or college background preferred
Universal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving certification within the first year (with assistance)
Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently climb, bend, kneel, and lift
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
Strong customer service skills
