Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Associate for a contract opportunity with our client in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Overview

This role involves receiving, processing, and distributing incoming packages, maintaining inventory, preparing shipments, and managing various shipping operations in a fast-paced environment. The position may require occasional travel to a secondary location in Woodbury, MN, and forklift experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Receive, sort, process, and distribute all incoming packages and pallets
Pick up, process, validate documentation, and hand off outgoing packages to freight suppliers
Record and label materials
Maintain inventory using client inventory systems
Enter Bill of Lading information
Process desktop shipping labels for outbound shipments
Process all requests and orders
Prepare and ship non-regulated packages received daily
Utilize Trackpad scanners to scan and record all incoming and outgoing packages, troubleshooting equipment and software issues
Create reports and metrics using Trackpad data analytics
Identify, sort, and manage pallet inventories for mail, shipping, and receiving operations
Weigh and record the weight of materials for shipment daily
Coordinate courier pick-up and delivery, confirming receipt, and resolving related issues
Manage incoming and outgoing temperature-sensitive shipments
Deliver or coordinate pickup of packages to customer work areas
Report defective materials or potential safety issues to supervisors
Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to interact effectively with client personnel
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High accuracy in handling sensitive equipment and shipments
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple priorities
Physical ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, walk up and down stairs, and operate manual pallet jacks
Ability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and visual)
Training will be provided depending on role
Computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office products preferred but not required
