This role supports the smooth operation of buffet and banquet services by maintaining food stations, setting up dining areas, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests. The food services worker delivers friendly, efficient customer service while following food safety practices and contributing to a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities
* Assist with buffet setup, including arranging food stations, utensils, and serving equipment in an organized and attractive manner.
* Monitor and maintain buffet lines by refilling food stations promptly and ensuring items are stocked, presentable, and at appropriate serving levels.
* Set up tables and banquet areas according to event requirements, including linens, tableware, and seating arrangements.
* Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes, glassware, and utensils, and transporting them to designated cleaning or dishwashing areas.
* Clean and reset banquet and dining areas before, during, and after events to maintain a tidy, safe, and welcoming environment.
* Follow food safety guidelines while handling, preparing, and serving food to ensure cleanliness and prevent cross-contamination.
* Provide courteous and responsive customer service, answering guest questions and addressing needs in a professional manner.
* Work collaboratively with other food service team members to coordinate timing, service flow, and overall event execution.
* Perform general cleaning tasks such as wiping surfaces, sweeping, and removing trash to maintain cleanliness in service and dining areas.
* Manage multiple tasks at once, such as refilling stations, assisting guests, and maintaining cleanliness during busy service periods.

Essential Skills
* Experience in food service, including buffet service, food preparation, or related roles.
* Ability to stand for long periods while performing food service and cleaning tasks.
* Ability to lift up to 30 pounds safely and repeatedly as needed for setting up and restocking.
* Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
* Customer service skills with a customer serviceoriented approach.
* Knowledge of basic food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
* Ability to perform cleaning and bussing duties efficiently and consistently.
* Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members in a courteous manner.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Previous experience in foodservice, food prep, or food preparation roles.
* Current food handler certification or food safety training (preferred).
* Demonstrated reliability and professionalism in a hospitality or customer-facing environment.
* Ability to work cooperatively as part of a food service or banquet team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
