Job Description

This role involves working as a deburrer in a heavy industrial manufacturing facility that produces large rims for mining trucks. You will finish pre-welded and fabricated rims using hand and power tools, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards. You will work on the production line, perform basic grinding and deburring, and support other shop operations as needed.

Responsibilities
* Grind, deburr, and finish pre-welded and fabricated rims to meet production and quality specifications.
* Operate hand and power tools, including belt sanders, grinders, and other common shop tools, in a safe and efficient manner.
* Perform very basic MIG welding tasks as required after receiving appropriate training.
* Visually inspect finished rims and in-process parts for defects and irregularities, following established quality guidelines.
* Handle and move materials and products using a forklift and overhead crane on an occasional basis, once trained and authorized.
* Follow all safety procedures and shop rules, contributing to a clean, organized, and safe work area.
* Collaborate with other production team members to meet daily output targets and maintain smooth workflow on the production line.
* Report equipment issues, product defects, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
* Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and use them according to manufacturer and company guidelines.

Essential Skills
* At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing shop environment.
* Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, including grinders and belt sanders.
* Experience performing deburring and grinding tasks on metal components or similar products.
* Strong English communication skills to understand instructions, safety procedures, and production requirements.
* Willingness to learn basic MIG welding and follow technical guidance.
* Ability to learn and safely use an overhead crane and forklift as needed.
* Comfort working in a heavy industrial environment and handling large metal components.
* Attention to detail when visually inspecting products for defects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Previous welding experience in a production or fabrication environment.
* Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts in an industrial setting.
* Familiarity with deburring, grinding, and finishing processes for heavy steel components.
* Interest in pursuing a trade and accumulating apprenticeship hours in an ITA-certified shop.
