Job Description
The Service Technician prepares, maintains, and services mobile units and trailers while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality work throughout the day. This role follows daily work orders, performs hands-on repairs using hand and power tools, and supports production by loading, unloading, and setting up units and furniture in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Review daily work instructions and work orders to plan and organize tasks for the day.
* Prepare trailers and mobile units for delivery, ensuring they are clean, functional, and properly outfitted.
* Perform maintenance on units and furniture, including repairs, adjustments, and general upkeep.
* Load and unload furniture and equipment onto and from units and trailers safely and efficiently.
* Use hand tools and power tools to complete repairs, installations, and assembly tasks as required.
* Carry out basic grounds maintenance to keep the work area clean, safe, and organized.
* Document work performed throughout the day with high attention to detail, including completed tasks and any issues encountered.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with units, furniture, or equipment and determine appropriate solutions.
* Report issues, defects, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.
* Maintain a strong safety mindset at all times, following safety procedures and using required protective equipment.
* Support production activities as needed, contributing to team goals and meeting daily output requirements.
Essential Skills
* 1 to 3 years of construction background or closely related hands-on experience.
* Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic issues.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to read and interpret work orders and follow detailed instructions.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation of work.
* Capability to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis.
* Comfort working in production and assembly environments, including loading and unloading tasks.
* Reliability in following safety procedures and maintaining a safety-focused mindset throughout the workday.
* Steel-toe footwear (required).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in carpentry, production, or assembly environments.
* background in using hand tools and power tools in a construction, maintenance, or manufacturing setting.
* Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions.
* Strong communication skills to report issues and coordinate with team members.
* Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and work orders during the day.

Work Environment
You will work in a non-climate-controlled production environment with approximately 25 to 35 team members. The role involves moving in and out of the warehouse and working outdoors in the elements to load and unload trailers. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional extended hours up to 5:00 p.m. and rare Saturday work. Steel-toe footwear is required, and the company supplies uniforms and tools to support your daily tasks. The environment is hands-on, fast-paced, and safety-focused, with frequent use of hand and power tools and regular physical activity such as lifting and moving materials.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
