Job Title: ASME Code Welder / Combo Location: Columbia, MS (In-Shop, Stationary)Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent Pay Range: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (Base rate, dependent on weld test performance and certifications)

Hours: Monday through Friday 6-2:30 is standard schedule with periodic overtime as needed based on shop load. Over time could consist of longer hours during the week and/or on Saturday or Sunday.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Our specialized ASME Code Shop in Columbia, MS is seeking an elite, safety-minded ASME Code Welder / Combo Pipe Welder to join our production team. We fabricate high-quality pressure vessels and process piping systems under strict ASME Section VIII Division I guidelines. If you take pride in producing flawless, x-ray quality welds and want a stable, stationary shop role with we want to hear from you. MANDATORY WELD TEST REQUIREMENTS To be considered for the top-tier pay rate, applicants must successfully pass our in-shop weld coupon testing: RESPONSIBILITIES Perform high-quality, x-ray sound welds on pressure vessels, boilers, and industrial piping according to ASME Section VIII codes. Read and interpret advanced blueprints, isometric drawings, and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Fit up, align, and prep joints to exact tolerances before welding. Operate modern welding power sources (Miller/Lincoln) and standard shop fabrication tools safely. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and adhere strictly to all shop safety and PPE guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Experience: Minimum [ 3-5 years] of verifiable experience welding to ASME boiler/pressure vessel codes. Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in GTAW, SMAW,FCAW and GMAW. Ability to consistently pass visual and radiographic (x-ray) weld testing. Strong knowledge of weld prep, joint geometries, and material characteristics (Carbon steel, Stainless).Must provide your own standard welding PPE (Hood, tools, etc.) WHY WORK WITH US?
