The Sanitation Cleaner (Industrial) ensures that all production and processing equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and stored in accordance with strict pharmaceutical and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. This role involves using specialized cleaning tools and chemicals, following detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and maintaining accurate documentation to support audit readiness. The position is physically active, requires comfort working with cleaning chemicals and industrial equipment, and involves rotating day and night shifts in a clean, temperature-controlled pharmaceutical environment.

Responsibilities
* Clean and sanitize industrial equipment including pumps, tanks, large pots, processing equipment, and sanitation systems according to established procedures.
* Use approved cleaning tools such as sponges, power washers, rinsers, and other specialized sanitation equipment to thoroughly clean all assigned machinery and components.
* Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), adjusting daily tasks based on changing production and cleaning requirements.
* Ensure all equipment meets pharmaceutical and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards for cleanliness and readiness for production.
* Perform routine inspections of cleaned equipment to confirm cleanliness, identify any issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records by entering work orders, cleaning activities, and inspection results into computer systems in a timely and accurate manner.

Essential Skills
* At least 6 months of cleaning experience in a production or industrial environment.
* Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily duties.
* Basic computer literacy with the ability to enter data, work orders, and cleaning activities into computer systems.
* Previous experience working in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment or similar regulated setting.
* High school diploma or equivalent
