Talascend is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Overview

The main function of a facilities technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings, ensuring safety, security, and proper functioning of the facility.

Responsibilities

Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
5-7 years of experience required.
Prior maintenance technician experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical, food industry, or regulated environment.
Mechanical aptitude, including hydraulics and electrical basics.
Experience with minor maintenance tasks such as lightbulb replacements and vendor escorting.
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education.
