Job Description
This position is responsible for the proper assembly, labeling, and quality of clinical supplies. The temporary packaging technician is required to follow all applicable standard operating procedures and supervisory instructions to ensure compliance with customer specifications. This position is for employees who are capable of performing most phases of clinical packaging but still require supervision in some areas.
Responsibilities
* Review batch paperwork and instructions to perform packaging procedures required for the assembly of each clinical study.
* Clean packaging rooms and machinery as needed within a clean room environment.
* Perform manual and automated filling and packaging of bottled pharmaceutical products independently, approving labeling and checking the quality of the process.
* Ensure proper labeling and drug placement using various sealing machinery.
* Accurately count out and prepare packages such as pill bottles and syringe packs to ensure proper packaging.
* Perform final checks of work in-process and finished products and pack goods into appropriately labeled containers and boxes.
* Assist in staging and reconciliation of components.
Essential Skills
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Attention to detail is crucial due to the critical nature of the packaging.
* Willingness to work in a cold room environment as needed.
* Good handwriting for labeling and documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in manufacturing or production is preferred.
* Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is ideal.

Work Environment
This role is in a pharmaceutical packaging department, requiring a clean room environment. Candidates must wear full gown, shoe covers, hairnet, beard net, and safety glasses at all times. The position requires some time in a cold room environment (35-46 F), with appropriate cold weather PPE provided. All hours worked in the cold room will be paid a $2 premium. Interaction is primarily with internal production operation employees, engineering, inventory, and quality assurance personnel.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.80/hr.
