Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and safetyfocused Production Associate to support daily operations in a fastpaced steel manufacturing environment. In this role, you help ensure highquality production, efficient workflow, and the safe operation of equipment throughout the facility by assisting with material handling, basic assembly tasks, and supporting machine operators and welders.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the manufacturing, processing, and handling of steel piling, pipe, and structural products.
* Load and unload steel materials safely, ensuring proper tagging, staging, and storage to maintain accurate inventory and efficient workflow.
* Perform quality checks on materials by verifying measurements, specifications, and overall product integrity using appropriate tools.
* Follow production schedules and work orders to meet daily output goals while maintaining quality and safety standards.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and hazardfree work area in accordance with established safety and housekeeping guidelines.
* Support machine operators and welders with material preparation, staging, and workflow needs to keep production moving smoothly.
* Use hand and power tools safely and correctly for basic assembly, fabrication, and material handling tasks as needed.
* Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or production delays to supervisors promptly to prevent downtime and maintain a safe workplace.
* Participate in daily safety meetings and consistently follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
* Work effectively in a field labor and constructiontype environment, adapting to changing production priorities and tasks.
Essential Skills
* Ability to accurately use a tape measure to verify material dimensions and product specifications.
* Experience with hand tools and power tools in an industrial, construction, or assembly environment.
* Comfort working in field labor or constructionstyle settings that involve physical tasks and material handling.
* Basic assembly skills and the ability to follow work orders and production instructions.
* Strong focus on safety, including adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
* Ability to perform quality checks and visually inspect materials for defects or nonconformance.
* Capability to lift, move, and handle steel materials safely as part of daily production activities.
* Reliability and punctuality to support consistent production output in a fastpaced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Prior experience in steel manufacturing, construction, or industrial production environments is a plus.
* Familiarity with material tagging, staging, and storage processes in a warehouse or production setting.
* Ability to work collaboratively with machine operators, welders, and other team members.
* Strong communication skills to report equipment issues, safety concerns, and production delays promptly.
* Willingness to participate in crosstraining to learn multiple tasks and support different areas of the facility.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Acworth, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
