Hiring Travel CNC Machinists for a Caterpillar project in East Peoria, IL.
Position Details

$40/hour + Per Diem
50+ hours per week
6+ month contract with potential extension
2nd and 3rd shift openings
Multiple August start dates available

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment
Work with CNC grinders, hobbs, shapers, drills, and other machining equipment
Utilize Fanuc and Siemens controls
Perform tool changes, offsets, setup adjustments, and troubleshooting
Read blueprints and setup sheets
Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring tools
Support quality inspections and CMM processes

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
Experience with Fanuc and/or Siemens controls
CNC setup and machine adjustment experience
Blueprint reading experience
Experience using precision measuring tools

CNC grinding
Gear cutting
Hobbing
Gear shapers
Gleason equipment
Liebherr CNC machines
Junker grinders
