Talascend is currently seeking a Building Maintenance Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Coral Gables, Florida.

Overview

The building maintenance technician supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes related to mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems within a commercial property setting. The role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure building systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned tasks including painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work, and general maintenance
Maintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete tenant service requests
Perform assigned preventive maintenance and inspection tasks
Support on-call or emergency response situations (if applicable)
Troubleshoot all building systems, including electrical, DDC, and pneumatic controls
Comply with all safety procedures
Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational training programs
Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

3+ years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
Trade school education, union training, military service, or college is desirable
Universal CFC EPA certification a plus, not required
Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfort using ladders up to 30 feet tall
Ability to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift, and/or drive
Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of this position through relevant experience, training, or education
