$36.00/hour

$600/week per diem (to help cover travel and lodging)

What You'll Do


Fabricated and bonded metal components to produce subassemblies and complete assemblies.

Operated gas welding equipment according to specified procedures and safety standards.

Interpreted layouts, welding diagrams, and work orders to ensure accurate fabrication.

Cut, fitted, and joined metal parts to meet design specifications.

Inspected completed welds and assemblies for quality, strength, and compliance with requirements.

Maintained welding equipment and work areas in a safe and efficient condition.

What You Need:


Sets up equipment and welds parts, using arc, gas shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment.

Bolts, clamps and tack welds parts to secure in position for welding.

MIG weld along vertical, or overhead weld lines.

Repairs broken or cracked metal objects, fills holes and builds up metal parts.

Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag or spatter.

Assembles parts by bolting and riveting.

Operator and set up power/pneumatic tools

Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping

Minimum 1 years' MIG welding experience in a fabrication manufacturing environment

AWS or CWB certification is desired

Used to working with large parts

Overhead crane experience an asset

High School diploma or GED

Welding certification or degree\Experience with weld setup (amps, volts, fixtures, etc.)

Knowledge of different materials including steel, stainless, and aluminum

Basic computer skills

Ability to follow safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals

Successful completion of internal welding test
