Join a High-Performing Fabrication Team

We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator to join a growing metal fabrication shop in Portland, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled operator with extensive CNC press brake experience who takes pride in producing high-quality, precision metal components. In this role, you'll be responsible for setup, programming, operation, and troubleshooting of press brake equipment while working on complex forming applications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines to manufacture precision metal components.
* Perform advanced forming operations, including bump forming, to meet engineering and customer specifications.
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
* Select tooling and make machine adjustments based on material type, thickness, and bend requirements.
* Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
* Troubleshoot forming and machine issues while identifying opportunities for process improvement.
* Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment repairs.
* Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet production schedules and quality standards.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
* Utilize hand tools and fabrication equipment to support manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

Required Experience

* Experience operating press brakes in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
* Strong experience with CNC press brake setup, programming, and operation.
* Proven expertise performing bump forming and complex forming applications.
* Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints and engineering drawings.
* Experience using precision measuring tools and conducting quality inspections.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
* High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a production environment.
* Familiarity with CNC controls and G-code programming.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience operating Cincinnati press brakes.
* Welding, plasma cutting, or general fabrication experience.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
* Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

This is a Permanent position based out of Portland, OR.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $79040.00/yr.

Effective after 60 days of employee, 1st day of the month FSA 100% medical for employee. Option for spouse and dependents at 50% $4000 deductible, $8000 for family Cigna Health Med, dental, vision Short & Long-term disability
