Job Description
The Welder fabricates, assembles, and welds metal components used in the production of seating systems and related products. This role requires accurately reading blueprints, performing MIG welding, and operating welding equipment safely while consistently meeting quality standards and production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate and assemble metal components for seating systems and related products according to blueprints and specifications.
* Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and consistent welds.
* Interpret and follow technical drawings and blueprints to complete work accurately and efficiently.
* Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools in a safe and effective manner.
* Fit and position components prior to welding to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity.
* Grind and finish welds and surfaces as needed to meet quality and appearance standards.
* Follow established production processes to meet daily and weekly output goals.
* Inspect completed welds and assemblies for defects and adherence to quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
* Use hand and power tools to perform fabrication tasks and support welding operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve issues that may affect quality or production.
* Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality to support consistent production flow.
Essential Skills
* At least 1 year of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in MIG welding with a basic understanding of welding fundamentals.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment with production goals.
* Skill in using hand and power tools related to welding and fabrication.
* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
* Reliable attendance history and ability to follow established procedures.
* Comfort working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.
* Eagerness to learn and develop skills within a production setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience with fabrication, fitting, and grinding of metal components.
* Prior experience working in a medium-sized production facility.
* Ability to work safely around welding equipment and related machinery.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers in a team-oriented environment.

Work Environment
The role is based in a medium-sized manufacturing facility that is not temperature controlled, so it can become very hot during the summer. Work is performed in a production-focused environment around welding equipment, fabrication tools, and other machinery, requiring adherence to safety procedures and comfort with industrial conditions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
