What You'll Do

As an Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling premium windows and doors from start to finish while meeting production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble windows and doors according to standard work procedures, control plans, and work instructions.
* Read and follow production schedules, work orders, and assembly specifications.
* Select and verify the correct materials and components for each product.
* Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet specifications.
* Identify and communicate material shortages, quality concerns, or production issues to team leaders.
* Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including:
+ Drills
+ Screw guns
+ Nail and staple guns
+ Chop saws
+ Routers
+ Sanders
* Accurately measure and verify dimensions using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
* Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily production goals.
* Follow all safety procedures and proper lifting techniques while handling materials weighing 50 pounds or more.

Qualifications

Required

* High school diploma, GED, or HSED.
* Ability to read and understand work instructions and production documents.
* Basic math skills, including measurements and simple calculations.
* Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
* Experience using hand and power tools.
* Ability to perform physically demanding work in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to lift, carry, and move 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Reliable attendance and a strong safety mindset.

Preferred

* Previous assembly, manufacturing, production, or general labor experience.
* Experience in construction, carpentry, or mechanical assembly.
* Familiarity with blueprints, diagrams, or technical drawings.
* Experience working in a fast-paced production environment.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train in multiple production areas.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr.
