PeopleReady Skilled Trades is hiring experienced Welders for a long-term manufacturing project in Central Michigan.

Location: Saginaw, MI Area
Pay: $22.60-$33/hr DOE & Skill Level
Per Diem: $130/day worked for qualified travelers

We are seeking Welders with experience working from blueprints and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to manufacture quality components in a production environment.

Candidates may work with multiple welding processes and will be evaluated through an on-site weld test and interview to determine skill level.

AVAILABLE SHIFTS

Day Shift
Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-4:30 PM

Night Shift
Monday-Thursday | 4:15 PM-4:45 AM
Shift differential applies

Weekend Shift
Friday-Sunday | 5:00 AM-5:00 PM
Shift differential applies

WELDING PROCESSES

Experience with one or more of the following processes:

MIG
Flux-Cored
TIG
Stick

Oxy-fuel cutting
Carbon arc cutting
Plasma arc cutting
WELDER SKILL LEVELS

Typical Experience: 5+ years of relevant welding experience.

REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent trade experience preferred
Relevant welding training and/or professional experience
Ability to read and follow blueprints and written instructions
Ability to understand weld symbols and WPS information
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback
Must be able to work the assigned shift
Must successfully complete required on-site weld testing and interview
Must pass required background check and drug screening
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The position requires the ability to:

Stand and walk for extended periods
Sit, reach, pull, and push with hands and arms
Bend, stoop, kneel, and climb as required
Safely handle welding materials and components
Lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
Use mechanical assistance for items weighing more than 50 lbs.
Wear required welding PPE and safety equipment
TRAVELER PER DIEM

$130 per day worked

Per diem is available to qualified travelers based on company requirements. Per diem is paid for days worked.
