Job Description

Join our team as a General Production Worker in the packaging department, where you will be working on the production line packaging boxes of Halls candy. As boxes are being filled, they move along a conveyor, and you will place packages onto pallets at the end of the line. This is a continuous process throughout your shift.

Responsibilities
* Package boxes of Halls candy on the production line.
* Ensure filled boxes move smoothly along the conveyor.
* Place packages onto pallets at the end of the line.
* Maintain production efficiency throughout the shift.

Essential Skills
* 6 months to 1 year of experience in a production environment.
* Ability to lift up to 25lbs, consistently lifting 10-15lbs throughout the shift.
* Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
* Knowledge of inspection and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
* Experience with cleanroom and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Backgroun, in GMP/Food industry.
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience using a pallet jack.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a food manufacturing environment focused on producing Halls candy. Expect a menthol aroma and a loud environment. The facility is clean and follows all GMP procedures. Shifts include morning/afternoon rotations and a straight night shift. Morning and afternoon shifts rotate weekly, with night shifts running Sunday to Thursday from 11:50 PM to 7:00 AM.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scarborough, ON.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
