Job Details

Stoughton Trailers, one of the largest employers in Wisconsin, is hiring Traveling MIG Welders to help build trailers for major companies such as Amazon and FedEx. Work is projected through the end of 2027, offering long-term stability and plenty of overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities
MIG weld mild steel trailer frames and components
Weld in flat, vertical, vertical lap, and overhead positions
Read and interpret blueprints
Perform light fabrication including cutting, bending, and assembly
Inspect welds and ensure quality standards are met
Follow all safety procedures while working in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications

✅ Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience on mild steel
✅ Minimum 1 year of blueprint reading experience
✅ Fabrication experience preferred
✅ Ability to pass a weld test
✅ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
✅ Must be clean-shaven around the chin and mustache area for respirator fit testing
