Project Management Quality Services (PMQS) is actively hiring experienced Manufacturing Shipfitters for a long-term opportunity in Goose Creek, South Carolina!

POSITION DETAILS

Position: Manufacturing Shipfitter
Location: Goose Creek, SC – Manufacturing Facility (NOT a Shipyard)
Pay: $45/hour
Per Diem: $120/day for qualified non-local candidates
Contract Duration: 6+ Years
Shift: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM EST (Second Shift)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Previous Shipfitter and shipyard experience REQUIRED.

1–5 years of prior shipyard experience.

Experience laying out, fitting, aligning, and assembling metal components.

Ability to read drawings, layouts, and work instructions.

Experience grinding, drilling, reaming, and preparing materials for welding.

Structural fitting, fabrication, and repair experience.

WELDING TEST REQUIREMENTS

SMAW (Stick Welding)

3F Vertical and 4F Overhead

3/8-inch plate test

Visual Testing (VT) and Break Test

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a Hair Follicle Test (HFT).

Must pass a Background Check (BGC).

Must be comfortable working second shift.
