We are hiring experienced Material Handlers for a travel project in manufacturing. This is an active, on-your-feet job keeping the production line supplied and moving. If you can run a forklift and you like staying busy, we want to talk to you.

PAY AND BENEFITS

• $24 per hour
• Hotel paid for the length of the project
• $100 mileage bonus
• Project runs 2 to 3 months, with the possibility of extension
• Overtime and weekends available

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Operate sit-down propane and electric forklifts to move and deliver material
• Work as a water spider, keeping workstations stocked and getting parts to the line when and where they are needed
• Respond quickly to shortages and line calls
• Move material by pallet jack and manually as needed
• Use RF scanners to receive, move, and track inventory
• Remove trash and empty pallets from the work area
• Keep the area safe, clean, and organized

REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED)

• Previous forklift experience that we can verify with past employers
• Sit-down propane and electric forklift experience
• RF scanner experience
• Ability to work as a water spider: constantly on the move, walking and delivering material all shift
• Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment
• Must be able to stand on concrete for most of the shift and walk the majority of it
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs and carry it 5 feet
• Must be able to climb a 13-foot ladder
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled plant with noise, wearing hearing protection and required PPE
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as the schedule requires
• High school diploma or GED

PREFERRED

• Stand-up forklift experience
• Overhead crane experience
• ERP system experience
• Lean manufacturing, pull system, or point-of-use inventory experience
• Basic computer skills (Excel a plus)
