Licensed Operator Re-qualification Instructor (LORT)
This position is responsible for developing, administering and documenting training programs for Re-qualification of Reactor Operators and Senior Reactor Operators.
Must hold or have held a PWR (Westinghouse) SRO License or an SRO Certification.
Five years of commercial nuclear plant experience is required.
Two years of experience as a Requal instructor is required
INPO Training Certification is desired.
BS Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, and/or Physics is desired, but not required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Conduct assigned classroom training, including simulator training.
Develop, prepare and revise lesson plans to support training and uses Systematic Approach to Training. (SAT)
Evaluate training programs to identify areas for improvement.
Participate in industry benchmarking and peer self-assessments.
Maintain qualifications by completing requalification and instructor training.
Evaluate the performance of personnel in classroom and simulator training.
Ability to obtain nuclear plant qualifications for unescorted access.
Ability to maintain instructor certifications to meet regulatory and accreditation requirements.
