Preparation of PTS Construction Work Control documents shall be in compliance with the applicable CHPRC work control standards, guides, and procedures including Job Hazard Analyses requirements.
Work with the core construction team (e.g., Construction Manager (CM), Responsible Manger (RM), Field Work Supervisors (FWS) and Safety Professional to lead the development of draft work instructions for T-Plant facility modifications and the T-Plant, Annex and Basin ECRTS equipment installation.
Facilitate refinement of the draft work instructions by leading Enhanced Work Planning (EWP) Session(s) that includes the subcontractor FWS and lead field crew craft, CHPRC SMEs (e.g., radiological planners, transportation and packaging, IH/Safety professionals) and other technical support staff (e.g., Nuclear Safety, Design Authorities, Fire Protection Engineering) and customer oversight staff.
Support the RM/FWS and with Hazard Review Board (HRB) work document reviews and presentation of planning documents.
Individual will lead walk downs and recommend techniques to perform regular and unique work scopes during planning activities; assist with evaluating/determining the risk and complexity of tasks to develop hazard controls; and interface regularly with SMEs, Field Work Supervisors, Engineers, Project Management and DOE.
Bachelor's Degree in construction management or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of construction craft and field experience, plus 6-8 years of Construction Work Planning experience with at least 2-plus years of High Risk Work Planning experience and 3 years construction related field experience. Must have proven work planning experience within the DOE complex or equivalent commercial or Nuclear Navy experience.
Past work experience with Conduct of Operations' processes (i.e., VPP, ISMS, etc.), as well as an understanding of regulatory and government oversight requirements (i.e., OSHA, NFPA, etc.) associated with construction activities.
Experienced with walk downs for inspections, development of written instructions for field work execution, job safety hazard analysis, familiarity with skill of the craft decision making process, working in hazardous work environment (e.g., asbestos, radiological), etc.

• Radiological Worker II Trained
• Respiratory Trained with Quantitative Mask Fit,
• Hanford L&T Trained
• 24 or 40 hour Hazardous Waste Trained
• Experience working with Hanford Site procedures and processes.
Upon selection, candidate must meet the medical requirements of the position.
- Knowledge of pumps, compressors, valves, and other mechanical systems and piping components
- Structural steel erection or modification, bolting criteria, various inspection requirements
- Experience with LO/TO of hazardous energy; knowledge of electrical systems
- Hoisting and rigging / cranes and heavy equipment
- Familiar with 29 CFR Parts 1910 and 1926, 10 CFR 850 and 851
- ANSI Level III in Mechanical
- ANSI Level II ion Mechanical, receiving, welding, and structural
