BHI Energy is looking to fill positions created by our expanding nuclear maintenance projects and outage contracts. These will be long and short term assignments located in the Midwest. While previous nuclear power generation experience is heavily desired, we will consider candidates with other heavy industrial maintenance experience.
A Foreman- Scaffold /Insulation must be capable of directing, mentoring and checking the work of other Scaffold Builders and/or Insulators. A Foreman must have the qualifications for a Scaffold Builder and/or Insulator. The essential functions of a Foreman- Scaffold I Insulation consists of spending long periods of time in the physical
activities of standing, walking, climbing stairs, light to heavy lifting, carrying, twisting, kneeling, stooping, bending and crouching as required to do work as a team member in providing support towards a successful and adequate completion.
1. Direct, mentor and check the work of other Scaffold Builders and/or Insulators
2. Capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surrotmdings or working conditions, which are unsanitary or hazardous to employees
3. Capable of taking prompt corrective measures to eliminate hazards
4. Reading blue prints, cut and fit insulation
5. Covering the insulation to reduce loss or absorption of heat or prevent moisture condensation
I. Complete forms and keep documentation related to the project tasks being performed.
2. Lead or participate in Pre-Job Briefings
3. Follow safe work practices- Industrial Safety Procedure
4. Use administrative documents, procedures, data sheets/forms properly.
5. Lift minimum of fifty pounds.
I. High School Diploma or equivalent
2. Four years experience
1. Able to meet physical requirements of the position
2. Able to work safely at heights
3. Able to safely and effectively use hand and power tools
4. Able to perform their duties with minimum supervision
