SHINE is immediately seeking a Radiochemist, reporting directly to the GMP Quality Manager, to design and develop analytical methods for laboratory analysis of raw materials, waste streams, in-process materials, stability samples and finished radiochemical products.
The Radiochemist will conduct qualification or validation of test methods, laboratory instrumentation, and radiochemical production processes as necessary. We are seeking candidates who have performed sample analysis and conducted OOS/OOT/NRC and other investigations.
Candidates should have a Bachelor of Science degree in radiochemistry, chemistry or related discipline. In addition, a minimum of 5 years of direct radiochemical analytical laboratory experience involving method development and validation is required. We are expecting candidates have proficiency with various laboratory techniques/instruments such as spectroscopy (alpha/beta, gamma, UV/Vis), chromatography (IC, HPLC, TLC), trace metal analysis (AA, ICP), and wet chemistry techniques. In addition, this person should have working knowledge of applicable safety and standards guidelines, such as GMP/GLP.
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls regulations (U.S. Citizen or National, U.S. Permanent Resident, Asylee, or Refugee). Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug test, fingerprinting, and a criminal background check.
