Searching for a Construction Field Engineer for a hydroelectric facility located in Beverly, WA. This position will support turbine upgrade projects at the project site. Multiyear project with night shift hours.
Serve as a liaison between engineering, craft, project operations, safety and other power plant personnel. Provide technical support to the crews performing daily work scope. Inspect completed work against work plans, technical specifications and quality plans and provide daily inspection reports. Ensure that Project Safety Plans and other Power plant procedures are followed.
-Interpret drawings and understand technical specifications
-Communicate and interact with craft and professional staff in a positive manner
-Assess assigned tasks to determine the most efficient and/or safe way to perform work
-Creative and adaptive approach to problem solving without impacting design or interfaces between unit components
-Resolve problems utilizing experience and judgment and recognize when input and assistance is needed from the design team
-Strong working knowledge of construction, turbines, generators, mechanical components and assembly
-Field experience with turbines, mechanical maintenance, field or construction engineer
-Strong computer skills using MS Office and MS Project
-Exceptional communication skills
-Hydro experience is a strong asset
-Demonstrated team leadership
-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
