BHI is recruiting for a Statistical Analyst / Consultant
Evaluate and improve statistical approaches taken for Code & Method Development activities
Coupling statistical and deterministic codes
Evaluate application of uncertainties for systems with limited data and/or complex response mechanisms
Interface with engineering groups to understand and improve reactor and fuel modeling tools.
Support licensing efforts with NRC through meeting preparation and developing written responses.
Support application of codes/methods to individual reactors.
Oversee creation and maintenance of models using advanced techniques including significance, correlation and fit
testing, and variable transformations and Analytics modeling tools and R or SAS as needed.
Guide team on efforts to implement solutions including (but not limited to) user interface design, data analysis and transformation, model creation and analysis, execution of data conversion scripts, and reporting. Understand breadth of related products and design appropriate interfaces.
Required profile
a. MS or PhD in Mathmetics with a statistical focus, or in Engineering with a statistical focus.
b. Extensive experience in application of statistical solutions to engineering problems.
c. Advanced degree may be substituted for related experience (PhD 1-3 years)
i. Masters Degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or quantitative methods (or equivalent years experience), Advanced degree and/or Actuarial designation preferred.
ii. 7+ years experience in data analysis and manipulation, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

Specific statistical subjects they should expertise in.
- Multiple regression diagnostics: - Quantitative, - Categorical
- ANOVA / ANCOVA / multiple comparisons
- Non-parametric analysis
o Hypothesis testing
o Ordered statistics
- Multivariate Analysis
- Design of Experiments
