Procedure Writer will be required to use the client's fleet’s procedure template, which is in Microsoft Word, and therefore will need to either already be familiar with the template or will need to have it demonstrated to them in a short two or three hour session. In the latter case these individuals should be power users of Word. The following additional terms should be included in the writer specifications:

• Certified to PPA writer standards
• Proficiency with current computer based applications including Microsoft Word and PDF conversion to Microsoft Word
• Minimum education required of this position: 2 or 4 year Technical Degree (desired) or equivalent work experience
• Minimum experience required of the position: 2 years of commercial nuclear power plant experience in operations or equivalent nuclear-related experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical documents
• Has broad technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operation
• Has technological knowledge related to the operating equipment associated with a nuclear power plant (pumps, piping, valves, etc.) preventive and corrective, routine operating data, reports, and logs; reviews and evaluates data as directed
• Will comply with applicable requirements, regulations, procedures and specifications
• Is familiar with Preventive and Corrective Maintenance performed in an operating nuclear plant
• Is or will become familiar with the station operating license, technical specifications, ASME CODE, EPRI/NMAC, Operating procedures and other applicable regulations and plant databases
• Is or will become familiar with company policies and procedures
