Outage Manager is responsible to lead and support all maintenance outage planning, scheduling, and execution activities for the Integrated Waste Treatment Unit (IWTU). Position will utilize maintenance planning and scheduling skills, including management of integrated outage schedules, in preparation for various scheduled outages. The outage manager will schedule and facilitate pre-outage planning meetings and post outage critique meetings, will have primary responsibility over the planning, scheduling, and execution effort for all mechanical and electrical work tasks, and coordinate with operations, maintenance, craft, engineering, and other personnel to ensure activities are planned, scheduled, and executed in a safe, disciplined manner. Position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to interface with various types of personnel. The position ensures all aspects of safety and environmental requirements are incorporated and executed in technical work documents and schedules are maintained throughout various outages.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field preferred
• 5 years minimum experience at DOE facility
• Work Planning and Control experience
• Working knowledge of integrated scheduling process preferred
• Management/Supervisory experience preferred

• Technical skills - A balanced, multi-disciplinary orientation including engineering skills related to the commercial or DOE industry.
• Team and People Skills - Interpersonal skills required to lead, communicate, coordinate, facilitate, motivate and build teams.
• Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what customers are saying and taking time to fully understand technical requirements from customer.
• Management of Personnel Resources - Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best personnel/suppliers for the job.
• Communications - Strong written and oral communication skills.
