Provide professional industrial hygiene technical and field support for the Waste & Fuels Management Project. Provide subject matter expertise pertaining to industrial hygiene topical areas, support field implementation of industrial hygiene program requirements, and maintain a strong field presence during project work activities. Participate in work planning, hazard analyses, event critique meetings, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
Develop industrial hygiene exposure assessment documents, safety reports, correspondence, and communication. Assist in the integration of Integrated Safety Management System (ISMS)/Voluntary Protection Program (VPP); support implementation of 10 CFR 851.
Provide support to the company in industrial hygiene program requirements. Develop and implement effective and efficient methods for controlling and eliminating occupational health hazards. Provides input/interface into the job hazard analysis processes and performs exposure monitoring as required.
Reviews and implements safety and health policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations and orders from regulating entities (e.g., Occupational Safety and Health Act, American National Standards Institute, and Department of Energy).
BS degree in industrial hygiene, engineering, or related field plus a minimum of 10 years’ experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate shall be a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
Candidate must be capable of meeting physical requirements for working in a hazardous waste environment, work in radiological environment, and able to wear respiratory protection equipment.
Work schedule is 4 10s, Monday-Thursday. Position through 9/30/18 with option through 9/30/19.
